Town & Country RV – Roswell, NM

We drove from Deming, NM to Roswell, NM, which we expected to be a boring flat drive with nothing but desert in between. Who knew there was a 7,500 foot mountain pass between the two?

We got snowed on at the top, but fortunately it didn't accumulate on the highway, only on the surrounding terrain.  Still, we were so surprised to see snow.

We arrived in Roswell and quickly disconnected the trailer and drove into town to the UFO museum.  It was pretty interesting to hear and read some first-hand accounts of the event. Fascinating really.

As you can imagine, everything in the town was UFO themed, even the McDonalds.

We walked through downtown, checked out the shops and then had a quiet dinner back at the trailer.

The next morning we had intended to go visit nearby Bottomless Lake State Park, but got up a little late and took an hour-long walk through a park that included a bird sanctuary and bordered a golf course. It was 35 degrees when we started, but quickly warmed up to about 60 by the time we finished.  A beautiful day without a cloud in the sky.

Roswell was a fun place to visit.
