The Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, SC
8Our last stop before arriving at Melissa and Mark’s in North Carolina was the Barnyard RV park in Lexington South Carolina. Stayed two nights so I could get caught up on some work.
The RV park had a large percentage of full-time tenants. It was a nice park, The showers were clean and it had everything we needed.
The weather was hot, nothing new, and the people were friendly. One night we decided to walk down the street to get some good old southern cooking. On the way there we noticed the clouds were forming quickly and it looked like a storm was imminent, although not predicted earlier that day.
Once we got inside the restaurant the rain came down in buckets and alert came on the radio inside the restaurant warning about flash flooding and a severe storm warning. It rained about 4 inches in two hours. We ate our catfish dinners slowly and nursed a couple of beers until the storm let up enough to make a break for it. It was a fast paced walk back to our trailer and we watched the rest of the storm from there.
After the storm we were treated to a double rainbow!
