Pisa, Italy

From Vernazza, we took a day trip to Pisa, by train. We changed trains in La Spezia, and it took about 1.5 hours one-way.

It was a 20 minute walk from the train station to the Field of Miracles.  We had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant a couple of blocks away.

I took the opportunity to climb to the top of the leaning tower.  Even though it was my third time here, it was a first to climb the tower.

I was impressed with how worn the marble stairs were and how it felt a little off-kilter walking up.

But the views from up top were spectacular!
