Palm Springs KOA, Again!
Our wonderful stay with Ellen and Bernie came to an end and we headed for Palm Springs, again!
The KOA we stayed at had a pool and three hot tubs fed by underground hot springs. The pool was 88 degrees and the hot tubs were 98, 100 and 104. The sign said that the water is actually 140 degrees, 500 feet below ground, but they regulate it at the surface to control the temperature.
The minerals and warm water felt great! That's some high quality H20!
Our intention was to stay one day, but due to the big wind and rain storms arriving in central and southern California, we decided to wait it out an extra day, and I'm glad we did.
We would have been driving through torrential, flood producing, rains and high winds, 55 mph +, and that wouldn't mix well with pulling a trailer.
We though about venturing out for a hike at nearby Joshua Tree, but because the rains were suppose to hit Palm Springs later in the day and into the evening, we didn't want to take the chance of getting stuck out in the desert.
So, Karen and I spent the extra day reading, playing crib and otherwise relaxing.
