Ocean Shores, WA
May 14 - 16, 2021, we spent three days at Ocean Shores with Ed & Betty. We followed each other down in sunshine, but as we approached the coast, we could see a blanket of clouds waiting for us. Typical WA coast weather!
So even though it was going to be sunny and mid-70s back home in Edmonds, it was mid-50's and overcast at the beach.
So, we bundled up and had fun in the great outdoors.
We stayed at a K&M resort called Ocean Breeze. It was well laid out and seemed more like a state campground than a RV park. It was beautiful! Ed & Betty were able to arrange for us to stay for free. Thank you Ed & Betty!
We initially chose a campsite that was forested, but when we got out of our vehicles, there was a major swarm of mosquitos. So we moved to a more open, non-forested site. It was a major improvement!
We ate well, played cribbage, took several walks on the beach and sat by the warm fire.
Ed and Betty have an amazing Winnebago. We say that our trailer is a bed on wheels, well, theirs is a house on wheels. A wonderful time was had by all!
On Sunday we emerged from the cloud blanket and once we were 1/2 hour inland the clouds parted and we drove home in sunshine the rest of the way.
