Lake Como, Italy

We woke up at 5:45am, had a continental breakfast at the hotel, then walked to the train station for a day trip to the town of Varenna on Lake Como.
Lake Como was one hour away by train. Our train tickets also included the water taxi at Lake Como, which helped us avoid the lines to get tickets at each stop.
While we were there we:
- Visited Menaggio and Bellagio by ferry
- Ate a delicious lunch at a hilltop restaurant
- Enjoyed some gelato
- Visited a small church that featured a statue of Padre Pio and a knitted village display
Rick, Carol, Ron & Lori were staying at the south end of Lake Como, so we weren't able to connect with them while we were there.
