Gold Hills Golf Course, Redding, California

We woke up in thick fog which quickly burned off to provide another beautiful day for a drive over Grant's Pass and the Siskiyous, including a drive by Mount Shasta.

When we arrived at the Gold Hills golf course, a Harvest Host location, in the early afternoon, about 2pm.  We quickly set up and Steve hit golf balls and practiced putting in the afternoon sun. Just $15 for unlimited golf balls at the driving range.

For dinner, we had one of the many great meals that Karen pre-made for our trip. This time it was lasagna. We played some cribbage and went for a long walk in the Gold Hills golf community neighborhood.  The houses were beautiful and amazingly affordable compared to Seattle prices, $550,000 for a 3200 square-foot rambler, with a pool, according to Redfin.

It was a wonderful stay, another gorgeous day in the upper 70's.
