We spent four days at Fort Casey, Feb 25 - 29, 2024.  There were 16 of us in all including Ed & Betty, their family and friends and Kirk and Lynda.

The story of the weekend was the “heavy weather”.  Sunday the wind was blowing so hard they had to shut down ferry.

Monday was beautiful. We spent most of the day outside by the fire, until the wind picked up.

Tuesday was Karen’s birthday. We woke up to snow on the ground. The wind subsided enough for us to walk onto the 10am ferry to Port Townsend and spent a couple of hours walking through the shops. Kirk and Lynda joined us. We had a delicious lunch at Hill Bottom Pies. The clam chowder, cream of broccoli soup and pizza were very tasty. Karen enjoyed her special day.

Wednesday the wind picked up again, gusting to 50 mph most of the day, 4am - 8pm. Lot's of folks went home early due to the high winds, but we stuck it out. We stayed inside and Mexican Train dominoes with Kirk and Lynda.

Always an adventure at Fort Casey.  We love that place!
