Day 7 – Murfreesboro, TN

We woke up at 5am and we were on the road by 6:10am.  Another driving day with no rain!

We needed groceries on the way to Murfreesboro, TN, so we stopped at Kroeger in Spring Hill, TN.  Yes, another place named Spring Hill!  It was a beautiful area.  Kids were just being let out of school.  Refreshing to see!

Our Harvest Host location (number 3) was at the Mayday Brewery, owned by Ozzie Nelson!

We had a blast!  We arrived at 4:30pm and parked our trailer in the back, right next to the brewery loading dock.  We were 10 feet away from the tasting room and outdoor deck area.  We parked B@by Ruth with a small audience.  It was 2 for 1 Wednesday!  We ordered two pizzas and two beers.  They were delicious!  It was our first meal out since we left Edmonds!

We had a nice visit with locals Phillip & Paula. Phil bought me a beer. We witnessed a surprise birthday party for one of the employees.  There was also a local running group that started from the brewery, ran 4 miles and returned for some ice cold brewskis.

One of the men informed us of the tornado warning for the next day, 7 on a scale of 1-10.  So we made plans to get the heck out of Dodge early the next morning.

We also had a nice visit with Lindsey, one of the runnners who was originally from Michigan.

We spent the late afternoon and evening outside, 78 degrees.  Everyone was mask free.  Their governor had lifted the mask order recently.  It was the first time we had gone out in a year without a thought of COVID.  It felt normal.  And everyone was so welcoming.
