David & Cathy’s

David and Cathy graciously invited us to visit their home on Bear Lake near Belfair.  We enjoyed a weekend of fun conversation while exploring the Olympic Peninsula.

We saw so many beautiful new places.  Some of our favorites were:

• Lake Cushman
• Hama Hama
• Twanoh
• Tahuya
• Big Creek
• Scenic Beach

Got some great ideas of where to camp in the future.

On our trek, we pulled into a spot called Robinhood.  As soon as we entered the parking lot, Karen and I had simultaneous Deja Vu!  We had been there 40 years ago for the wedding reception for one of Karen's high school friends named Julie.  It brought back a flood of memories of Julie and Leif's wedding weekend, snow on the ground, icy roads, hot tubbing and fun times!

Also on our drive, we came across a small roadside restaurant called the Geoduck.  We had a fantastic lunch and drinks there.  Thank you David and Cathy for the wonderful weekend!
