Crescent City, CA

We drove down the picturesque Oregon coast towards Crescent City, CA and stayed two nights at the Crescent City Redwoods KOA Park.

The campground was just off of 101, amongst the Redwoods.  It was so heavily wooded, we didn't even bother to set up Starlink.

While there, we spent some time at the beach as the tide was coming in, almost got surprised by a couple of sneakers waves that forced us to quickly move our chairs back to higher ground.

We also took a drive along the beach, ate some ice cream at a local Jambalaya restaurant and Karen found a cool tie-die dress that fit her perfectly.

While we were staying at the campground, we got some sad news that my dad had passed away at 5:35pm on September 20th.  Even though it was expected, it was still emotional.  He was 93.  Fortunately, we were able to say goodbye before we left on this adventure.

Overall, this KOA campground was a decent place to stay.
