Chiriaco Summit, CA
On December 19th, after two straight months of living at the Superstition Sunrise RV park, we bid our farewell to our newfound friends and neighbors and headed towards Anaheim.
Ashley and Tim invited us to join them and the grandkids at Disneyland from December 20th to 24th.
Chiriaco Summit, CA, near Indio, was a great free place to stop for the night. It is a Harvest Host location, although you don't need to be a member to stay there. It's basically like free camping on private property, that butts up against BLM land and Joshua Tree. It's situated in the California desert, so it's boondocking, no water, sewer or electricity.
We saw a stray coyote there, and warned the neighbors who pulled in just after us. They had a yellow lab.
It's located right behind a General Patton museum, which was quite interesting.
We stayed one night and headed out the next morning for our 2 1/2 hour drive to Disneyland.
