Carmel, CA
It was our first trip to Carmel, and we loved it! What a quaint little town. No two houses were the same. Most of them were small bungalows full of character. Even the roofs were unique.
We stayed at Carmel by the River RV Park. It was a one lane road for the last several blocks to get in there, but it was worth it.  A short 10 minute drive to downtown Carmel and the ocean beaches.
The highlight of our visit was the incredible bike ride we took from Monterey to Pebble Beach.  Ellen and Bernie rented electric bikes from the "Mad Dogs and Englishment" bike shop, complete with a side car for their dogs to ride in. Karen and I brought our electric bikes. Karen, recovering from a broken heal, was able to get out and enjoy the scenery without too much pain.
While we were in Carmel we:
- Watched a beautiful sunset at the beach
- Drove around and looked at the unique homes
- Rented a propane outdoor firepit at the campsite and stayed out past dark talking and playing the card game "Swipe"
- Played cribbage out on the lawn
- Tested out our new Starlink device, amazing speeds for a satellite service
- Bernie and I went for a long walk along the beach
- Ate dinner at Vesuvio restaurant which featured a top deck bar. This place has been visited by numerous celebrities. We took a photo of the signature wall.
- Visited Monterey, just 25 minutes away
- Had lunch at Bubba Gumps in Monterey
- Went for a long bike ride along Cannery Row in Monterey, all the way to Pebble Beach! Amazing to see that golf course in person.
