Days 23 & 24, Humble, TX

After our stay in New Orleans, we took HWY 10 and followed Noel and Mike back to their home in Humble, TX.

For the next two days we stayed with them.  They have such a beautiful home!  The last time we were there was about 12 years ago.  Where did the time go?

I remembered cutting their lawn for them back then, when the trees in their backyard were newly planted. Now they are huge and provide a huge canopy of shade in their backyard.

Friday night we had delicious ribs and baked beans for dinner.  We listened to music, laughed and drank adult beverages.  Mike and I had martinis.  Needless to say I sipped mine for about two hours.

On Saturday, Mike and I walked over to the golf course near their house and I hit some balls at the driving range.

We went to Sharky's for lunch. Super fun place with great food.  I had the Catfish Po Boy sandwich.  It had a Louisiana flair.  Sunday night Karen made Swedish meatballs and Gnocchi for dinner.  She used the lamb that we purchased from HD Farm in Mississippi.  It was delicious and very filling.

We really enjoyed our time with Noel and Mike.  When we get together, even if it's been a long time, it's as if no time has passed.  We pick it up right where we left off!

The weather has been fantastic.  80 degrees and very comfortable. No rain.

As always, they were wonderful, generous, gracious hosts.  Can't wait til we can get together again!
