Honeyman State Park, Oregon

Forty-five years ago, Karen and I tent camped at Honeyman State Park near Florence, OR before we were married.  It was the first stop on our way to Disneyland and San Diego in my 1977 Toyota Celica. And, we hadn't been back since, until now!

Our drive down was cold with heavy rain until we got south of Olympia.  By the time we got to Oregon, the rain subsided and gave way to 55 degree sunshine.  So nice!

On the way down we drove past the Gingerbread house, a Harvest Host location where we stayed last year.

After arriving at Honeyman and getting set up, we took  a long hike around Lake Woahink trail then over to the dunes.

After dinner we played a couple of games of cribbage before turning in.

It was fun being there and seeing this place again after so many years.
