T-Fest, 2022
Don and Ann invited us to join them once again at their annual T-Fest (Tequila Fest) event at Nine Mile, WA. It's a family reunion of sorts.
Karen dropped me off at Moses Lake, where I joined Don and Jim to play golf at Moses Pointe. Always a fun course to play. And it happened to be National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, so Don bought every single one the golf course had. They were delicious!
Karen and Ann continued on to Nine Mile where we would meet up with them after.
Karen parked the trailer on her own for the first time, yeah! Unfortunately she stepped out of the truck and onto a large pine cone, severely spraining her ankle. Tough way to start a camping trip.
Swimming in the lake was a must after a hot day on the course, and the water was perfect!
The next morning we got up at 5am to play Circling Raven in Idaho. Don, Jim and I were joined by Garrett. What a beautiful course! It was challenging and fun! We were surprised that it was 37 degrees that morning, pretty chilly for August, but it quickly warmed up to the 90's.
We took Saturday off from golf and enjoyed the annual T-Fest-ivities, which included team events like a trivia contest, a "catch the marshmallows in your mouth" game, a whip cream "find the gummies" pie eating contest, and a play dough sculpture event. Our team name was "Tomorrow's Lunch". It's always a blast!
We played the Chewelah Golf Course on Sunday, one of our favorites. Don had a great round with three birdies!
With another T-Fest in the books, we headed home on Monday morning. Traffic was light and the trip home was relaxing and uneventful. Just the way we like it!
